The thirteenth edition of the Italian baja, which returned to the province of Pordenone after the stop in 2004 and the exile in Sardinia last year, had a great protagonist: the Spanish Marc Roura Blazques, sailed by his compatriot Luis Senra Cruz, dominated the car race, winning twelve of the thirteen special stages scheduled and thus bringing home the deserved final success. The Iberian left to his opponents only the first passage on the selective sector 'Tagliamento', a partial setback essentially due to the lack of knowledge of the difficult route set up on the river bed. For the rest there was no story: Blazques was behaved like a true 'cannibal', respecting the predictions of the eve.
To keep the Friulian flag high, the Orioli - Rosolen couple, who finished second behind the wild Spaniards, took care of it. To facilitate the achievement of the place of honor for the regional duo, the withdrawal, which took place in the SS 4 Aviano, of the Portuguese Rui Sosa, winner of last year's edition. Rui Sousa finished his run by rolling over against a tree, fortunately without suffering major consequences from the impact. From that moment on, the Orioli - Rosolen couple steadily took second position, paying a more or less constant gap from the petrol engine of the tread. Third position for the Russian Novitskiy on Nissan Pathfinder. With 41 starting on Friday, 32 finishing the first stage on Saturday, but then Ricci and Silvestri did not start yesterday morning due to engine problems. Obvious selection dictated by the hardness of the route not only on the stones of the Tagliamento, but also on the dirt road of San Martino di Campagna, tackled at great speed despite jumps and sudden reversals.
Competition for motorbikes and quads was more balanced, for which two separate races were held, one on Saturday and one on Sunday. On Saturday among the bikes Dutto won on Suzuki Rmz - E, ahead of Candida and Accaino from Pordenone. On the other hand, yesterday happened for Sant, with Accaino confirming the good things he did the previous day, finishing 4th. As for quads, Saturday's race saw Segato prevail on Yamaha Raptor, while on Sunday Bariel prevailed on Honda.
