Tsar Boris Gadasin again on the hunt for poker victories with his G-Force, but among the opponents he finds his rival Vladimir Vasilyev on Mini All Racing X-Raid.
The list of entrants is extended less than three weeks before the start of the XXI Italian Baja (13/16 March), the second race valid for the 2014 Fia Cross Country Rallies World Cup (car) and the first race of the Fim Bajas World Cup ( motorcycles and quads).
Last weekend the Northern Forest was raced in Leningrad with the triumph of Saudi Yazeed Alrajhi on Toyota Hilux Overdrive, ahead of Russian Vladimir Vasilyev and Brazilian Reinaldo Varela, coincidentally the last two winners of the Baja. Now all interest shifts to Pordenone where the return of the "Tsar" Boris Gadasin with his G-Force is expected, determined to win the fourth seal after the successes of 2007, 2009 and 2011. Not an easy feat considering the value of the adversaries and the difficulties of a path made even more difficult by the overabundant rains.
One of Gadasin's main antagonists will be his compatriot Vasilyev at the wheel of a Mini All Racing of the X-Raid team, the one who won the Dakar in January with Nani Roma ahead of Stephane Peterhansel. And there is the possibility that Alrajhi will also target the Italian Baja to aim for a resounding second of victories at the start of the season. Meanwhile Miki Biasion moves into Renato Rickler’s R-Team orbit hoping to find a Mitsubishi vehicle that matches his ambitions as a protagonist.
ATTENTION TO SOCIAL. Strong commitment by the 4x4 Club to characterize the 2014 competition in a solidarity sense. The "Memorial Azzaretti", which will award the author of the best time in the super special stage between Cordenons and Zoppola (Friday 14 March), will be an opportunity to a fundraiser in favor of the Ideal Standard Committee, in support of the families of workers in difficulty. In addition, during the race weekend, in the headquarters set up at the Pordenone Fair, a mini training course for driving vehicles for the disabled will take place held by EDS (Evolution Driving School), organized by Gianluca Tassi, a disabled driver who participated in the Italian Baja and who demonstrates with his personal will and tenacity the possibility of overcoming any obstacle.
