The Italian Baja is preparing a sort of virtual fireworks for its 2016 edition, from June 23rd to June 26th, as Mauro Tavella seems to be ready to announce a sensational fight among participants.
In the meanwhile, the “Zar” Boris Gadasin confirmed his entry, lining up this year with his G-Force Proto, looking for his fourth victory after the ones he got in 2007, 2009, 2011. The participation of the driver from Saint Petersburg has become a fundamental constant, a standard of a World event involving experts coming from each of the five continents. As for example the American Bryce Menzies (Mini All4 Racing) and the Peruvian Raul Orlandini (Toyota Land Cruiser), challengers from overseas who will face rivals from Europe, Asia and Middle East. There are already over forty Teams taking part in the competition valid for the FIA World Cup for Cross Country Rally, at the moment, and some given names both of the World and of the Italian Championship are still missing.
Among the so-called “gentleman drivers” appears again the name of Mauro Vagaggini (Mitsubishi Pajero), who is actively involved in a cause in favor of the Italian Association against Leukemias. He’ll be supposed to hurry in ending the race, on Sunday, June 26th, as everybody will be waiting for him at the Pordenone Fair, to share with him the Atap 40th Anniversary’s Party and the concert proposed by the Nomadi, the group which will properly close with its music the long Italian Baja weekend.
