Nobody can be compared to him: 6 victories gained by motorbike plus other six victories by car at the Dakar, the most exhausting race in the World.
The French Stéphane Peterhansel is unrivelled as for the roll of honour of the African marathon ferried to South America. A real off-road ace who now comes back to the Italian Baja after the experience made in 2013, when he took part in the bike competition riding a Yamaha 450, accepting the challenge with the favoured local biker Alessandro Ruoso, obviously already used to face the route. In 2014 he stood by his fiancée Andrea Mayer, who drove a Danisi Dust Devil built according to the new-born FIA T3 Class. After last Summer’s Wedding Mr. and Mrs. Peterhansel will take part in the race to celebrate a special “honeymoon” driving a Yamaha YXZ 1000, an innovative T3 Class vehicle, realized by the Japanese house, able to face each kind of off-road competitions, allowing to increase, thanks to the reduced costs, the potential number of this specialty drivers and teams. Stéphane, who won the Dakar 2016 in January with a Peugeot, demonstrates to be still faithful to the Yamaha Motor France.
