On 12/13 November a spectacular race at the “Valvadrom” on the Tagliamento
Appointment on 12/13 November for the unprecedented Italian Baja d’Autunno, sixth and final stage of the 2016 Italian Cross Country Rally Championship with a coefficient of 1.5. A novelty created by the Off-road Club 4x4 Pordenone, which obviously maintains the organization of the Italian Baja World Cup (next edition 22/25 June 2017), but returns to churn out a test race to try out innovative route and logistics solutions. It had already happened in the past with the Baja del cellina, then transformed into Raid Tout Terrain del Friuli.
The last edition in 2006 with start and finish in Majano: the crew of Riccardo Colombo and Stefano Fabiano won, on the Renault Megane prototype. Only fifth is Lorenzo Codecà on Grand Vitara Suzuki, at the time not yet the multiple championship champion who will probably reach the eighth seal this season. Excellent retreats were those of Tonino Tognana on Fornasari Rally Raid, Antonio Manfrinato and Angelo Montico of Pordenone on Toyota Rav4. Stuff from ten years ago.
Finally, now the tricolor off-road specialists will have an extra competition back with authentic cross country rally characteristics. The Autumn Baja will be based in Valvasone and will have a track of about 18 km to be repeated 5 times on Saturday and 3 on Sunday, retracing the spectacular "Valvadrom" sector of the Italian Baja world champion. Pro Loco Valvasone and the Lupus in Fabula association will set off to offer welcome and hospitality to fans and enthusiasts who will have the opportunity to follow the race in a suitably concentrated competition field.
