Pordenone, February 18, 2025. We start again with a special enthusiasm. On the horizon is the return to the Cross Country Baja World Cup (in July) and now the Fuoristrada Club 4x4 Pordenone officially opens the Italian season with the start of registrations for the Artugna Race – Italian Spring Baja (March 21/22).
Lots of news for the “spin-off” of the world race, from 2021 Artugna Race after starting as Baja del Cellina (2000) and developing into Raid del Friuli, changing its position on the calendar several times. Since 2016 it has been the Italian Spring Baja marking an “awakening to the races” that gets old and new protagonists moving again after the winter hibernation.
The announced innovations concern the route, a maze of dirt roads in the piedmont belt from Aviano to Budoia to Polcenigo, and the logistics. Aviano this time will be the starting and finishing point, but also the headquarters of the race with race direction, secretariat, ranking center, press room and service park.
"We are excited enough for an Artugna sprint and for the world championship that awaits us" underlines Andrea Vignola, president of the Fuoristrada Club. From today until Monday 17 March there will be time to register by following the vademecum on the website www.italianbaja.it
