Pordenone, April 17, 2025_ All that was missing was the official seal of approval, which this year took the form of an insurance certificate. The problem was solved at a central level by Aci Sport, the Fuoristrada Club 4x4 Pordenone paid the policy and in a week, finally, the Artugna Race that was supposed to be held on March 21/22 will take place between Aviano, Budoia and Polcenigo.

It was about time. The first act of the 2025 Italian Cross Country Baja Championship has kept drivers and navigators, teams and workers in suspense. But now everything is ready to raise the curtain on Friday, April 25 and close it on the evening of Saturday 26 with the awards ceremony in Piazza Duomo in Aviano.

A Liberation bridge also in a sporting sense for those enthusiasts and curious people who will be able to enjoy the off-road challenge during barbecues and picnics near the foothills. The new date has imposed a change in logistics and the race headquarters will be at the Golf Club of Castel d’Aviano, a sumptuous and special balcony from which you can also see a portion of the track. Registrations close next Monday, so the crews still have time to make up their minds after having to reschedule the calendar.

Since 2021 in the Artugna Race version, the Italian Spring Baja has been won in sequence by Sergio Galletti, Andrea Alfano and twice by Manuele Mengozzi among the cross-country vehicles, while in the side-by-side sector Amerigo Ventura has signed a hat-trick in a row and last year there was the surprise blitz by Andrea Castagnera, with the second place of Federico Buttò from Pordenone who however graduated champion at the end of the season.
