Pordenone, February 27, 2025. He was the first to sign up for the Artugna Race (March 21/22), with the humility of a “rookie” after more than twenty years of rallying and numerous Class successes, almost always driving front-wheel drive cars. For Enrico Zille, the time has come to experience authentic off-roading, beyond the dirt roads of the special stages, but the Italian Spring Baja has rallying connotations that are perfect for his cross-country debut. The driver from Porcia will have a Suzuki New Grand Vitara T2 prepared by Ito Motorsport of Monghidoro, an Emilian structure that has also been following the multi-decorated Italian champion Lorenzo Codecà for some time. A vehicle from the “production” category like the Group N of rallies, i.e. a series vehicle in racing trim with all the safety requirements, but less performing than the T1 prototypes.
"That is, the ideal way to start this new adventure that intrigues me a lot - Zille emphasizes - and I hope it will soon have a sequel if things go well. Obviously I don't have the faintest idea of what my chances of results are, but it will certainly be fun. I have chosen Alessandro Bravin as my navigator, for him only one cross country experience so far, but he already knows a lot more than me, he lives in Polcenigo, he knows the characteristics of the route and will be a valid support".
The Artugna Race - Italian Baja di Primavera 2025, with its epicenter in Aviano and a route that also winds through Budoia and Polcenigo, will open the Italian off-road season branded Aci Sport. The Italian Cross Country and Ssv Championship, divided into five stages, then includes the Rally Raid Sardegna (16/17 May), the FIA Italian Baja World Cup (3/5 July), the Baja dello Stella (19/20 September) and the Raid of Champions (7/9 November).
