The charming and elegant building of Palazzo Montereale Mantica, situated in the historical centre of Pordenone, framed the presentation of the 22nd edition of the Italian Baja, the only Italian race of the FIA World Cup for Cross Country Rally (cars and trucks), also valid for the FIM Bajas World Cup (bikes and quads).
The vernissage recalled local Authorities, sponsors, friends and co-operators of the Organizing Committee, plus an audience composed by curious people looking forward to learning track’s news, most attractive points, race’s general program which will include also several collateral events hosted at the Pordenone Fair.
The ceremony was held by Mauro Tavella, president of the Fuoristrada Club 4x4 Pordenone and general manager of the Italian Baja, and the TV journalist Marco Angileri.
Really appreciated the greetings expressed by the president of the regional Coni Giorgio Brandolin (“this is a very well organized reality, which demonstrates great sensitiveness as for sport events”), the president of the Province and Region Aci Corrado Della Mattia (“it is one of the most attractive kermis of our Land”), the Major of Pordenone, Claudio Pedrotti: “We have to recognize that this date represents a nice way to spread the image of our Land, thanks to the fundamental passion of Mauro Tavella, who can be considered the soul of the race”.
