Pordenone, 29 June 2023_ A exact week is missing from Italian Baja, scheduled from 6 to 9 July with the focus at Interporto di Pordenone: the 30th anniversary of the competition (1993-2023) will be a planetary festival, being able to count on crews from 4 continents e 25 nations.
During the weekend, the official entry lists will be published, divided between the FIA list for the World Cup and the Acisport list for those racing only in the national challenge which will conclude on Saturday night.
The announced challenge between the two biggest stars, rally raid World Champion Nasser Al-Attiyah and the defending champion for the Baja World Cup Yazeed Al-Rajhi, together with others offroad super specialists on Toyota Hilux, Mini John Cooper Works Plus and Can-Am Maverick South Racing, with the outsider Miroslav Zapletal on a Ford F150 Evo, now a habitué of the race on the river beds. Over the 80% of the contestants is foreign, but multiple Italian pilots will try to be also World Cup protagonists, with the pride of a top-level comparison and considering that the Fia competition has only one overall classification, not like the national one, that differentiates the cross country vehicles form the Ssv. Between surprises and comebacks also a substantial group of pilots from Pordenone will chase glory.
