Meetings are always on the agenda, at the Fuoristrada Club 4x4 Pordenone, involving more or less people, from a close G4 when dealing on the most confidential things, to a wider G7, G8, G9 and so on, when arguments concern more people. Then a sort of “democratic centralism”, as each decision is made by the majority and everybody then commits to respecting it. But the supreme decision is made (almost always) by the supreme organizer of the Italian Baja, Mauro Tavella, confirmed by a full approval and this is why there are really few delays and the race advances year by year like an incessant off-road vehicle.
Behind the scenes there is a lot of not visible work which doesn’t catch the eyes of spectators enjoying the three days show between skids and countersteering along the Meduna, Cosa and Tagliamento riverbeds. To realize a competition valid for a FIA World Cup means to be examined by the most important International sport authorities but also to assume a great responsibility towards our own National sport authority, which cares a lot in giving a very good impression inside the World Cup.
The management of the four days race –from July Thursday 7th to Sunday 10 h - is just the decisive moment of a feat increasing year by year thanks to the dedication of professional but not expert colleagues, as it mostly deals on volunteers fond of this specialty who have been working since long weeks. Thus, if it will happen to you to find some flaws and gaps in watching at the Italian Baja 2022, please be understanding and remember that crews come here from each part of the World because they feel guest of unique people.
